Product Reviews

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 159reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sensitive Beagle had zero issues with this product My 15 year old Beagle has an incredibly sensitive digestive system and we tried several top brands to no avail. This product is the only one that agrees with her. We've used this brand for about 7 years and have had zero issues. Even when I tried to upgrade her to the Nutro Ultra Senior it bothered her so I'm very thankful to have found a healthy dog food that she loves while being beneficial for her senior needs. I absolutely love this brand and so does my four legged mature princess!! February 25, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by seems okay but not for her anymore New formula seems yo make her thirsty and we have to coax her to eat it. She eats grass now because she has an upset stomach often. The formula worked so well as she is 13 years old and in amazing health. So sorry but will have to look for something new for her. August 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dog loves it I have no experience with the prior formula, so no comments there. However, I have an extremely picky 9 year old who only eats the chicken flavor of a lower-tier competitor. Turns his nose up at most other formulas. Until now. He loves this stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing the health benefits down the road. June 10, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by New recipe smells like fish I've been feeding my dog Nutro Natural Senior for more than 7 years! She loved it and is a fairly healthy 13 yo dog because of it. But they changed the recipe. Now it smells like fish, and my dog is very reluctant to eat it. I wish they would change it back. We will buy a competitor's dog food instead.--Sad, ex-longtime-loyal fan March 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Change in formula Why change a good thing? smell is unappealing. I have raised two Old English Sheep Dogs, 90lb. Living to 12 and my present OES at 10yrs. OldOn your product, but do not like the "new improved" recipe. March 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by best dog food on the planet I have always fed my dog Nutro and as a result I think I have one healthy dog. Her coat has always been good and skin clear. Her teeth have always been tartar free and clean. February 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Senior dog eats this like there is no tomorrow My dog prob does not know the difference between the old bag and the new bag. All i can tell is the shape and smell is different. My dogs have been on Nutro for years, even introduced another friends to try Nutro for their dogs. Now my question is what is the amount of OMEGA that is in the food .My senior dog has allergies, this works fine for her but my vet said, due to her flaky skin to add 1000mg of fish oil to her diet. My younger dog eats the Dark Green bag small bites. 4 stars due to not enough information for me with fish oil and wish a there would be senior for skin conditions. February 2, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by New Formula My pugs used to love the senior formula until it was recently changed. I found myself adding treats to get them to show more interest in their food. I think the senior formula is healthy and my pugs did well on it. They have skin and tummy issues, so I was grateful to find food that worked well for them. Sadly this product no longer works for them because of the taste. January 20, 2013
