Feeding Guidelines
These are the recommended feeding ranges for puppies. These guidelines should be adjusted as needed to obtain optimum weight.

Puppies: From 3 to 5 weeks of age, moisten food and feed frequently. From 6 weeks of age, feed the suggested amount in three meals per day until 6 months of age, then twice daily until 12 months.

Pregnant/Lactating Bitches:: During pregnancy, offer 50% more and during lactation offer at least two to three times more than the amount shown for puppies 29 to 52 weeks of age.

Keep fresh drinking water available at all times, provide plenty of exercise and see your veterinarian regularly. Serve dry or lightly moistened. To help maintain freshness, we recommend sealing the bag tightly and storing in a cool, dry location.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more smell Brought home a 7 week old lab pup who had very soft almost runny stool for 3 weeks. Multiple test for parasites turned up negative. To go along with the soft stool you could hear hour tummy gurgle after eating and then the farting would start, she also had bad breath. The Vet put her on a sensitive stomach food from hills which had no nutrition that I could see but it gave her solid stools. After a few days I started switching her over to this Nutro Limited ingredient Lanb and Rice and the stools stayed firm plus no more gas or bad breath plus her coat is beautiful. She is now 4 months old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From 5 weeks old My babies Nibbzy and LollyPop were pushed away by their mother at 4 weeks old. The first food we tried with them was the ground Nutro soft food lamb formula and it was great. I was concerned about loose stools and accidents but there was no problems and the transition from wet food to dry was effortless. Plan on using this brand for their whole lives. Thank you Nutro!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fro anysize dog with unhappy bellies! Our boxer/mastiff would get loose stool with any other food, so we decided to go grain free, and where we moved from we didn't have may options . Once we moved , we were caught looking puzzled at all the brands in our local Petsmart, a guy came up to ask and asked if he could help, informed him Our boy has a sensitive tummy and doesn't do well with a lot of ingredients and our girl has skin allergies, We run into 2 problems , either the food tastes good but they get sick , or they wont touch it, we bought a small bag of the venison for sensitive skin and tummy,BAM , they are in love, and the stool hasn't been an issue and either has her skin . LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Natural Choice LID Lamb food ever! I cannot thank Nutro enough! I have a 6mth old English Springer Spaniel, Olivia. She's a beautiful example of the breed. She is my pet and our beloved family member! She is currently working on her CGC and CC and later therapy titles! I only want the best for her! Her breeder used another brand which I wasn't fond of, so I tried nutro ultra: she ate it well for about a mth but I noticed some hesitation..She seemed to love lamb treats the most. I tried various brands (more than 10!!) and her refusal to eat became crazy! I remembered I'd tried NC LID Lamb/puppy once previously and she loved it. I retried and prayed: SUCCESS!!!!I could not be more pleased! Her fur is no longer flaky, its super shinny, shes totally healthy, perfect stools, she eats with gusto even spinning circles to eat! For her meals I mix 2 TBS of Nutro NC Lamb puppy canned with 3TBS Swanson's chicken broth and warm 30 seconds then top with 1/2 her daily portion of NC lamb puppy dry and stir.. Success.!!All of the 10-12 other brands (some also lamb) she wouldnt touch even with canned and broth!!! She got up, walked to her bed, laid down. Not with this dry food! Thanks nutro! Olivia and I are forever thankful and love having options for later with venison, grain free, lamb grain free, & other flavors... You are a top company! Ive referred others to nutro and they've all had great success!Try Nutro food you will be glad you did!
