Feeding Guidelines
These are the recommended feeding amounts based on ideal body condition for dogs of various weights. Individual dogs’ energy requirements may differ. Adjust the amount fed to obtain or maintain your dog’s optimum weight.

Puppies: Under 6 weeks, moisten food and feed frequently. From 6 to 11 weeks, feed at Activity Level IV. From 12 to 16 weeks, feed 25% less than Activity Level IV. From 17 to 28 weeks, feed at Activity Level III. From 29 to 52 weeks, feed at Activity Level II. Feed the suggested amounts in three meals per day until 6 months of age, then twice daily until 12 months.

Pregnant Bitches: Offer 25 to 50% more than the amount shown for Activity Level IV.

Lactating Bitches: Offer at least two to three times the amount shown for Activity Level IV.

Keep fresh drinking water available at all times, provide plenty of exercise and see your veterinarian regularly. Serve dry or lightly moistened. To help maintain freshness, we recommend sealing the bag tightly and storing in a cool, dry location.

High Endurance Adult Dog Food is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 2674.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for older dogs! We have an aging Sheltie who was always so active - we were looking for a food for his age when my husband saw this and we decided to try it. This 13 year old dog still acts like a puppy and gets excited at mealtimes! He still has lots of energy and stamina and we totally think it has a lot to do with this food! Our local pet smart stopped selling it and we have had to locate it elsewhere but it is worth the effort to see him happy & thriving!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from White Boxer Pup My 10 month old boxer pup was super hyper and active and we had the hardest time getting her to gain weight. We started her out on Purina One for the first 9 months and the vet recommended trying different things to add weight and nothing worked. She recommended we get this high endurance dog food through Nutro and she has changed tremendously in 1 month. Her shedding decreased, her coat is beautiful and glossy now, she has amazing filled out muscle tone like a healthy boxer, and her appetite is 100% better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buddy is healthy, active, and loves this I have been feeding my Grehound mix Buddy this particular food for 9 years now (He is 11). He is at a great weight, is very fit, and has the muscle mass of a dog much younger than he.He's excited to eat it EVERY day. He has tried different foods twice, when I was unable to get the high endurance, and was not pleased with me haha.Would definitely recommend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rewards? Recently adopted a malnourished Great Dane. This brand seems to be putting weight on him nicely without stomach issues. Would be so nice if Nutro would offer coupons to make this a little more affordable for those of us with several dogs. I've been a 'member' now for 4 yrs and I've gotten ONE lone coupon since I enrolled. C'mon Nutro, show some love

Rated 5 out of 5 by from high energy is now high endurance? I have been feeding my English Setter this food for 10 years (she is 11)She is also very high energy..and stays very slim naturally. Hope she likes the High endurance formula as well..the chunks are larger... I freaked out a bit when i couldnt find the old packaging, i was worried it had been discontinued. She didnt get fat on the old formula, because she has so much energy, but is slowing down a bit now that she is older, so I'm thinking of switching to a less fat formula..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I tried quite a few foods for my Shepherd/Husky but she always looked so skinny...I even brought her in for a weigh-in. I always tried for the most natural food I could find at a good price, and this food takes the cake! Her coat is shiny, she put on the few pounds I was looking for, and loves eating it. No yogurt, or gravy or anything added :) Well..maybe a bit of hot water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent suppliment when hunting I have a field trial (hard running) english setter that I hunt with. We love the Nutro products and I was feeding her one of the other Natural Choice selections. I found that she would "hit the wall" after about 2 hours in the field. I then switched to the High Energy and found that while she had phenominal stamina in the field she would gain weight if I didn't hunt her alot. Because her lifestyle varies between periods of high activity with those that are less strenuous, I experimented and found a formula that works. She gets Nutro High Energy the meal before a hunt, during breaks in the hunt and for her next two feedings which are the evening after the hunt and the next morning. I then switch back to her regular Nutro. She now has no weight gains during non hunting times, has high energy when hunting, and recovers quickly from the hunt. The best of all worlds with a phenominal product!
