Senior Recipe is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 1314.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from New recipe I have fed Nurto Max Senior for some time. My dogs loved it and do well eating it. I just got the first bag of the new recipe and my dogs don't want to eat it. I have to add canned food to get them to eat. I have a friend and a neighbor who are both having the same problem with their dogs and the new recipe. I do not recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nurtro Max Senior Dog Food!!! At first glance at the packaging, Max dog food looks inviting. Reading the ingredients on the back I was very encouraged that my 7 year dog would be getting the best senior dog food out there on the market. My dog is a little picky but at first sniff he was very excited about what was inside the package. I followed the instructions on how to switch my dog over to the new brand entirely after mixing in some of the old and new food. I’m guessing we found a new dog food. I would really recommend this to anyone that has dogs. Thanks Bzzagent and Nutro! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BZZ Report for NUTRO MAX Senior Recipe Dog Food I think anyone who has a heart for taking special care with the nutrition of their senior dog would love Nutro Max Senior Recipe Dog Food! I've been feeding it to my 9 year old Dalmatian, Lola, for a few weeks now and she loves the taste of it! I tried to take a photo so you could see her happy face, but I had a difficult time keeping her nose out of the bag! Lola has problems keeping her weight down, and other Senior-type dog foods have not been successful in this area, & they have given her "untoward" side effects...ahem. This product is made with Farm-Raised Chicken, not chicken by-products. It has no corn, wheat or soy protein & no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. The Nutro Company (in the U.S.A.) can be proud of this creation, and senior dogs everywhere can know they are being taken care of! Their is also a 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed Coupon printed right on the bag, if for some unknown reason your senior dog is dissatisfied!I sure won't be using it...but it's great to know that it is there! Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog loves it. My dog is usually a nibbler. He will eat a little bit here or there and always takes the food out of his dish and carries it off the the corner to eat. When we switched to the Nutroom Max he sat and ate a whole bowl. Now everytime we feed him he eats til it's gone. I have already noticed his fur is looking healthier and he seems more energetic. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Finicky to Fair with Nutro Max Senior I love that they have glucosamine and no artificial additives in the Nutro Max Senior. At first with the mix of old food with the new it slowly slowed her eating down. She is not a slow eating dog at all or has she ever been. Then once it was all Nutro Max Senior, she completely stopped eating for two days. I mixed a little bit of my other dogs food on top. Then she finally started eating it again and now has continued to keep eating it with out any mix added. She does take her time eating now. I have also noticed it has made her coat shine more. Which did surprise me since we did use good dog food before sampling Nutro Max. I also notice that it must fill her up better since she no longer looks at the other dogs dish to take a chance to sneak in and grab a few extra morsels. Rating lower just from the initial eating of not eating the Nutro Max Senior. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picky Doggies Love Nitro Max!! My Australian Sheppard is extremely picky. Although she will still eat the food she doesn't like, I have to pay attention because she will eat it extremely slow. But with Nitro Max, my dog was super excited as soon as I took it out of the box we got it shipped to us in. (I wish I had taken video, but I always fail to have my phone near me during times of "need" lol) But, she was jumping around everywhere, very happy and she knew that the package was for her. I wanted her to test it right away so I gave her a small scoop of it and put it in her cage where she always eats her food. And I could not believe my eyes, I had just given her a bowl of her old food, but she went straight into her cage a day ate two full scoops (1 cup). Now I know that, for my beautiful, spoiled pup I must buy her this brand from now on! I love Nutro Max and I super impressed with their product. My dog has never reacted like this before to any kind of dog food I've tried with her. And she acted as if Nitro Max was a treat and not her everyday food!! So, if you have a picky pup too, try Nitro Max, it might surprise you!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nutro Max Senior Dog Food I think nutro max is great. First it has no corn or artificial flavors. Im not sure about this but I heard corn isn't good for dogs. The food doesn't have a strong smell like other dog foods have. My dog smelled it first he wasn't sure about it. He tried it and he liked it. He kept coming back for more Everytime. I noticed he's a little more active now. That's a plus there. He doesnt take a long time trying to go number 2. I really recommend this I was satistified so I know you would too. You'll see a great change of energy ( well I did) and your dog will truly enjoy it. I will definitely buy more when done with this bag. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from She thought it was tasty, but... I have a sweet little toy Pomeranian, and a pretty active one for a senior dog. She certainly liked the taste of the Nutro Max Senior Dog food that I recieved for free in exchange for an honest review, but we had to supplement her with the vet prescribed fish oil after two weeks because her skin was starting to dry out. We traditionally avoid chicken based food for this reason, but if your dog doesn't have skin problems, the taste seemed to be very appealing. I liked the ingredients list and nutrient break down, especially as she gets older. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
