Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome My 30 lb boy Maximus was having trouble going to the potty. He almost stopped urinating all together. I read about grain free food and switched them immediately. Gave him Apple cider vinegar for a few weeks. Now he's back to normal! This food is literally a life saver! I might have had to spend thousands and then could have still lost him. I thank God for Nutro grain free!! Bless y'all! April 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Three Happy Kitties I learned with my first cat that quality food is really the way to go. My black cat is quite the princess and she turns her nose up at anything that isn't Nutro duck & potato. The small size of the nuggets makes it easier for the smallest of my kitties to feast. I don't but anything but this and in the 14lb bag. With three cats, the smaller bags are a bit of a joke. January 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cats eat it like it is a Greenie treat!! I have almost always fed Natural Choice to my kitties. One of my kitties lived to the ripe old age of 22! She still had all of her teeth! My two younger kitties love the Duck and Potato and they love it so much, they think it is like a treat. If I drop a kibble on the floor while I am filling their dishes, they race to see who will get it. As a pet parent, I am happy that Nutro offers a grain free version. My kitties are very active and need as much protein as I can give them. May 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for allergies!! Our vet recommended this food for my cat's allergies. She was chewing the fur off her tail, back and butt area. After a couple of weeks on the food, the fur is coming back and she has gained back some of the weight she lost. Definitely recommend! April 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This food saved my cat! My recently adopted cat had horrible food allergies and reactions to all three cats foods we tried, it turns out they all had a common factor: grains. We did some research and switched her to this grain free, limited ingredient diet, and her food sensitivities have gone away. She has not vomited and her stool does not have a putrid smelling odor. I am glad we switched her food to this because she is able to retain nutrients through the food she consumes now for the first time in years. February 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cat loves it I really wanted to put my cat on a good trustworthy grain free brand. At the same time I also have the pickiest eater ever! She loves this food and practically begs for it like it is a treat. Many of the grain free foods have weird textures or other unpalatable qualities but not this one. Her coat is beautiful. Weight is perfect. Very energetic. So happy to find this food! January 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A win for all! I had previously been feeding my cats another brand (containing corn and other grains), but I noticed my older cat was starting to show signs of colitis, and my younger cat had some pretty stinky litter box episodes. I decided to try a grain-free diet. I tried another brand first, which my cats did not like, and tried the Nutro Natural Choice Grain Free Duck & Potato formula next. My cats love it! It's been about 4 months, and the digestive problems in both cats have gone away. My older cat also has increased energy. I purchase this food in a 14 lb bag at PetSmart. Not all pet stores carry this size. January 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Healthier cats -- very noticable difference! I began using this food because of some research I did to try to help my overweight cat slim down. My research concluded that grain free was what a cat needs -- carnivores do not eat grains in the wild. One vet had an article that said your overweight cats are not getting enough animal fat (yes--FAT! Your cat needs fat -- don't starve him!# and protein and the grains make him raise his insulin levels (same in humans) so they put on weight constantly. The result for my other cats, however, were most astounding. While my big boy has begun to lose a bit and is much more active than before -- my scrawny, sickly 14-year-old is now gaining much needed weight and is acting like a kitten again. I'm truly amazed at the health benefits of a grain free diet for all three of our boys. One note in that vet's article was that salmon protein doesn't digest quite as well as others, so he recommended a duck formula. He mentions Nutro, but also several other brands. We tried Nutro because I spoke with a Nutro rep at the PetSmart where we bought it. I have not been sorry. Great product! January 1, 2014
